Deb has managed the City’s historic preservation program since 1992, following two years as a Senior Planner. During her tenure as Program Manager, Portland has received national recognition for its preservation efforts. Before joining the City, she served as Executive Director of Greater Portland Landmarks. Deb is a graduate of Bowdoin College and received a master’s degree in historic preservation from the University of Vermont. Deb has served as a regional advisor to the National Trust for Historic Preservation and trustee of Preservation Action and Maine Preservation. She was recently appointed to serve on the Board of the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions, which provides training for preservation commissions across the country. Deb lives in Yarmouth with her husband Ted. Their sons, Larsen and Ethan, are both in college.
