New Development Review Project - 5 Portland Street

To residents and property owners: Preble Street Resource Center, Inc. has submitted a Conditional Use application pursuant to Section 14-474 of the Land Use Code to facilitate the conversion of 7,378 square feet of interior space at 5 Portland Street for use as an emergency shelter. The subject property is zoned B-3. A Level II Site Plan application will be submitted by the applicant in connection with the above-referenced Conditional Use application.  In accordance with the Portland Land Use Ordinance, notices of receipt of a Conditional Use application must be sent to property owners within 500 ft. of the subject property (or 1,000 ft. if the project is a subdivision or map amendment for a site located within an Industrial Zone). You will be notified of future Planning Board meetings by receiving notices from the Planning Division prior to any workshops or public hearings. A project and plan summary is available for viewing on the Citizen Self Service Portal (https://egweb.portlandmaine.gov/energovprod/selfservice), by referencing Plan Number CU-001231-2020. Written comments should be submitted to planningboard@portlandmaine.gov.
