65 Brookside Road - New Development Review Project

To residents and property owners: Monica and Jeff Sanders submitted a Level I Site Alternation application for a proposed site and landscape improvements to the rear yard of the property at 65 Brookside Road. The owners wish to enhance the existing outdoor living area for family enjoyment and small gatherings. Proposed improvements include updating the existing retaining wall, the introduction of a small hardscape terrace (400 SF), the integration of a freestanding seating wall, and a fire pit. This existing single-family residence is located in the R-3 Zone, and is not undergoing any proposed modifications to structures on the parcel. The application is subject to Portland's site plan and subdivision standards.  In accordance with the Portland Land Use Ordinance, notices of receipt of a Level I Site Alteration application must be sent to property owners located within 500 ft. of the subject property (or 1,000 ft. if the project is a subdivision or map amendment for a site located within an Industrial Zone). This application will be reviewed administratively by City Staff. This is the only notice you will receive.  A project and plan summary is available for viewing on the Citizen Self Service Portal (, by referencing Plan Number PL-000634-2019.
