The Mayor's Sustainable Portland Task Force was established to study and comprehensively address issues related to Portland's economic, environmental and community sustainability. Issues this Task Force will consider include land use and resource conservation, pollution and toxins control, transportation policy and infrastructure, bicycle/pedestrian trails, "green" construction methods, energy efficiency and a sustainable local economy.
