Volunteer Drivers Needed!
RTP is a United Way agency that provides low-cost transportation to the elderly, social service agency clients, the economically disadvantaged and persons with disabilities throughout Cumberland County. They provide over 1,500 rides a day to people who need to get to medical appointments, grocery shopping, work and other important places. Currently RTP cannot meet the demand for rides. RTP is looking to recruit more volunteer drivers. A current volunteer, “I have worked for RTP for the last five years and have found a wonderful sense of community and fulfillment from interacting and befriending many of the riders. I look forward to each trip!”
