Over a six month period in 2006 artist Tim Clorius and Portland Teens worked through an art making process utilizing graffiti and fine art to create a boldly colorful 4’ x 16’ panel mural.  The work, entitled "The City" by participants, represents how the teens see themselves as individuals and the positive impact art can have in their community.  It is on display at Reiche Community Center, 166 Brackett St., Portland.  This workshop was generously funded by a "Good Idea Grant" from Coffee By Design.  A fine art print of this collaborative artwork is available for $35 through Portland Parks & Recreation, Cummings Center, 134 Congress St., Portland.  For more information contact City of Portland, Recreation Division at 756-8275.
