Parking Facilities
The City of Portland owns 4 parking garages, two of which the City directly operates in the downtown providing short-term parking for employees and customers of local business establishments. Numerous privately owned parking lots and garages offers a multitude of parking opportunities while visiting the City. View the downtown map to see which one is convenient for you.

City Owned Parking Garages

The City of Portland has ownership interest in four parking garages. The City's Parking Division handles the day-to-day operations of two of them, the Elm St. parking garage and the Spring St. parking garage.

Elm St. Parking Garage (207) 871-1106
Directly managed by the City Parking Division.
21 Elm St.(between Portland High School and the library)

Hours of Operation:
Mon-Fri, 6:00 am-10:00 pm*
Saturday, 8:00 am-10:00 pm*
*or ½ hour after Merrill Auditorium events
$25. after-hours lock-out fee

Rates:
Hourly - First hour free, then $1.25 per hour or any part thereof.
Park & Shop Stamps accepted
Monthly- $100. per month
Snow Ban-In after 5pm, out by 8am. $3.00-hourly rate thereafter

Spring St. Parking Garage (207) 874-2842
Directly managed by the City Parking Division.
45 Spring St. (next to the Civic Center w/entrances on Spring St. and Free St. )

Hours of Operation:
Monday-Saturday, 6:00 am-Midnight
Sundays, 8:00 am-Midnight

Rates:
Hourly - First hour free, then $1.25 Per hour or any part thereof.
Park & Shop Stamps accepted
Event Parking Rates for Civic Center Events
Monthly - $100 per month----call for availability
Snow Ban Parking-$3.00, in after 5:00 pm, out by 8:00 am. $1.00-hourly rate is charged after 8:00 am.
