Chief Medical Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a team of dedicated professional and medical providers serving individuals and families in the Greater Portland Area. Experience working with culturally diverse, low-income, immigrant, and underserved populations, as well as having bilingual skills, is desirable. The desired candidate shall be board-certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine and must maintain an active medical license in the State of Maine. This is a
full-time, contract position involving medical oversight of the Center, consultation and supervision of other medical staff, referral and networking within the community, and the provision of direct primary care services to the Center’s patient population. Custodial Worker - on-call

Schedule may include nights and weekends. This position is located primarily at Merrill Auditorium, City Hall and Sports Complex but may be required to work in other City-owned buildings. Duties include event set-up prior to events, necessary assistance during events including placing and moving chairs, mats, riser and stage sections, sound and light equipment and sports equipment, clean-up immediately after event including moving and/or removing all items and equipment that was used during the event and routine cleaning of facility prior to and following each event. Duties also include performing routine facility maintenance as necessary and routine exterior maintenance, including snow removal.
Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects over an extended period of time; working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment; ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions; ability to meet and deal courteously with the public; physical strength and agility necessary to perform the essential functions of the work; must possess valid Maine Class C driver's license (please provide license number) and vehicle available for work use where applicable. Prior customer service experience desired.

Event Staff (Security) - on-call

on-call, part-time, event based positions - must be able to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings and weekends - Merrill Auditorium and Portland Sports Complex - Duties will include security services, guest services, ticket taking, ushering, parking attendant and other similar functions as necessary. Some lifting may be required and some shifts will be working outside. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, walk and climb stairs. Must have excellent customer service skills. Starting pay is $8.68/hr. plus $.45/hr. shift differential when applicable. This position
is not eligible for benefits.

Medical Assistant

grant-funded position - Seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to work in a clinic serving homeless adults. Duties including rooming patients, performing phlebotomy, administering vaccines, assisting with laboratory requisitions and medication refills, and pre-visit planning for scheduled appointments. Must be able to work as part of a team. Graduation from an accredited Associate’s Degree Program in Medical Assisting or Certification as a Medical Assistant required, and experience in a healthcare clinic preferred. Basic computer skills required. Must have a Class C driver’s license and an automobile available for work use. Mostly days but may require some evening commitments.

Experience in policy and environmental change strategies and tobacco, physical activity and nutrition programming strongly desired.
