The Health Promotion Program works to promote the health of all people through programs that support healthy communities. We provide education, build coalitions, advocate for policies that create and support healthy environments, and deliver programs that help people attain and maintain good health. Our program currently has five activity areas: Minority Health Program, Cancer Prevention initiatives, Overdose Prevention, Healthy Portland (physical activity, nutrition and tobacco-free living), Prevention of teenage alcohol and tobacco use, and School Oral Health.
