The Chronic Disease Prevention Program works to
promote the health of all people through programs that support healthy
communities. We provide education, build coalitions, advocate for policies that
create and support healthy environments, and deliver programs that help people
attain and maintain good health. Our program currently has five activity areas:
Minority Health Program, Cancer Prevention initiatives,
Overdose Prevention, Healthy Portland (physical activity, nutrition and
tobacco-free living), Prevention of teenage alcohol and tobacco use, and School
Oral Health.
