The Finance Committee is a standing committee of the Portland City Council.  The Committee serves as a forum to review, recommend and approve significant City financial policies; to review and recommend the City and School budgets to the full City Council for the upcoming fiscal year and to recommend the appointment of the City’s independent auditors. It also serves as an audit committee to review the City's annual financial statements and report from the independent auditors.
