Warren Avenue Storm Drain Replacement Project

The project was successfully bid and the construction contract has been awarded to D&C construction at a contract price of $1,412,600.00. The contractor will begin mobilizing to the site the first week of June with construction anticipated to begin the week of June 8th. The contractor will begin placing construction signage and variable message signs on Warren Avenue, Riverside Street and Forest Avenue during the week of May 26th. It is anticipated that this project will be substantially completed by October 31, 2020.

The project will replace the street’s existing corrugated metal storm drain system. The storm drain line has been inspected and the City has determined that it is in need of replacement. The project will be located from approximately 400 Warren Avenue to the intersection with Riverside Street.

The Portland Water District will also be replacing their 20 inch water main within the project zone.

The attached map will assist in defining the project boundaries.

Project work will typically run from 7:00am to 7:00pm during the project. The contractor will be required to keep driveway access open to all driveways unless it is necessary to close in order to complete a section of the work. If the contractor needs to interrupt driveway access sufficient notice will be given prior to the disruption.

Joe Sklarz of John Turner Consulting will be providing daily onsite inspections on behalf of the City and will be available to help assist with any issues that may arise during the project.

Drivers should expect lane closures and traffic delays on Warren Avenue during construction hours. Please be sure to check the City’s website regularly for project traffic updates. It is anticipated that Warren Avenue will be reduced to stop and go flagger controlled traffic between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm.
