[ARCHIVED] Citywide Parking Ban Declared TONIGHT, Saturday, Jan 18 at 10:00 PM through *9:00 AM* Sunday, Jan 19

PARKING BAN IN EFFECT

A Citywide Parking Ban has been declared beginning TONIGHT, Saturday, January 18 at 10:00 PM through *9:00 AM* Sunday, January 19. Vehicles left on City streets after 10:00 PM can be towed at the owner’s expense.

Due to the expected timing of this storm, and the fact that tomorrow is Sunday morning, the City is extending the time of this ban only until 9:00 AM so people do not have to get up early and move their cars. It will also allow crews time to clean up any remaining early morning snowfall.

As a reminder, the tow times for some streets in the Old Port and Arts District are later than 10:00 PM. Please see this map with specific tow times.

PARKING BAN INFORMATION

The City offers numerous free options for parking on the peninsula during a snow ban. These lots are available after 5:00 PM on weekdays on the day a ban is called unless otherwise posted. Click here for an interactive map. School lots and unrestricted parking areas can be accessed earlier on weekends. Typically, all vehicle owners must remove their vehicles from these designated areas listed below by 7:00 AM (except for school lots, which are 6:30 AM) the morning the ban is removed. For this parking ban only, vehicles must be removed from these areas by 10:00 AM.

The City may tow, at the owner’s expense, any vehicle which has not been removed by the 10:00 AM deadline:
