[ARCHIVED] LoveLincolnPark Summer Concert Series

The LoveLincolnPark Summer Concert Series will be taking place Tuesday evenings at Lincoln Park, starting Tuesday, July 23rd with the Blues Prophets.

Tuesday, July 23rd, the Blues Prophets will bring their Chicago-style blues to the park. They've played with many musical legends during their 40-plus-year career, including Muddy Waters, Koko Taylor, Professor Longhair, Pinetop Perkins, and so many more.

Tuesday, July 30th, the Gypsy jazz group Mes Amis will perform their unique mix of traditional Gypsy, Latin, and American jazz standards, as well as original works. When they performed on MPBN's Jazz Tonight program, their sound caused Rich Tozier to remark, "who couldn't like that?"

Tuesday, August 6th will see singer/songwriter Emilia Dahlin fill the park with her stories sung in one of the most amazing voices in Portland. Yankee Magazine wrote: "Emilia charms her audience to the edge of their seats with her wry smirk and clarion voice – then drops them to the floor with foot-stomping, head-shaking grooves."

Tuesday, August 13th, The Renovators will close out the concert series by rocking the park with their original tunes full of soul, funk, blues, and humor. A show by this veteran band is the perfect way to cap off the summer concerts!

The LoveLincolnPark Summer Concert Series is sponsored by the Friends of Lincoln Park and the Portland House of Music, with special thanks to the Ames Family Fund. All of the concerts are free to all, although donations will be cheerfully accepted.
