Towing Alert: Park Avenue Spring Cleaning

PARKING ALERT

Towing will occur tonight & next week for any cars that do not adhere to emergency no parking signs

The Department of Public Works will be performing spring cleaning work along the Park Avenue Separated Bike Lane. Crews will tackle one side tonight and the other side next week. In order to properly clean the bike lane and reinstall the bollards, towing will occur for any cars that do not adhere to the emergency no parking signs that are in place.
The work includes the section of Park Avenue between Forest Avenue and Valley Street:

  • May 8 - Street sweeping, south side. Cars will be ticketed and towed if on the south side of the street between 12am and 7am. (Early Wednesday morning - so do not leave your car overnight on Tues, May 7.)
  • May 15 - Street sweeping, north side. Cars will be ticketed and towed if on the north side of the street between 12am and 7am. (Early Wednesday morning - so do not leave your car overnight on Tues, May 14.)
  • Bollards will be installed, both sides, after 7am.

In June, street painting will require similar parking enforcement.  Exact dates will be weather dependent. Emergency No Parking signs will be posted in advance.
Routine maintenance sweeping of the bike lane will be handled with smaller equipment and will not impact on-street parking until the bollards are removed at the end of the season.
We thank everyone for their cooperation as we complete this work.
