Limited In-Person Transactions Available

We are currently conducting limited in-person transactions at City Hall. For auto registrations, you must have an appointment. For birth, death, and marriage certificates, plus elections and voting info, the Clerk's Office is serving walk-ins. See below for Parking Office information.

Please see the link below to make an appointment for auto registrations. Due to the high demand, appointments are being made into October at this time. However, you should check the site often as we do try to open new time slots as staffing and appointments allow.

For birth, death, and marriage certificates/ceremonies, plus dog licenses and elections and voting info, the Clerk's Office is serving walk-ins via the Merrill Auditorium entrance on Myrtle Street.

To pay a parking ticket or obtain a residential parking permit, please visit the Myrtle Street entrance of City Hall to visit our Parking Office. For any questions, please call 207-874-8443 or email them at parking@portlandmaine.gov.

All other departments continue to serve customers via phone, email, mail, and virtual meetings during this time. Please call or email the department you need service from for assistance.
