Cumberland District Public Health Council

History

The Cumberland District Public Health Council (CDPHC) was convened in December 2006. The primary focus of the council is to ensure that public health services are provided to all towns in the Cumberland District. Efforts to this end include:
- Individual meetings with nearly every town in the district
- Review of local and state public health statutes
- Distribution of health education materials to each town
- Piloting contracted public health services with select towns

The efforts of the Cumberland District Public Health Council are funded by Maine Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (via Fund for a Healthy Maine).
